At Metro Recycling we believe taking care of the environment is everyone's responsibility. Since 1988, Metro Recycling has been working to lessen our impact on the world around us by making scrap metal and similar products easier to recycle and more profitable for the consumer. In 1988, the first Metro Recycling facility opened in Blue Island Illinois. Since then, we opened two additional metal recycling facilities here in Indiana. In 1998 we expanded into the auto part recycling business with the opening of Metro Auto Recyclers in Valparaiso.
