Metro Auto Recyclers in Valparaiso received its fifth Clean Yard Gold Level Certification from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) on November 27, 2018.

This achievement has been once again awarded to Metro Auto Recyclers for diligence in protecting the environment and community, and by passing a rigorous multipoint inspection.

​

Currently, Metro Auto Recyclers is one of only eight auto recycling facilities in Indiana to have received such high honors. Indiana has approximately 400 auto recycling facilities statewide.

Metro Auto Recyclers CEO Neil Samahon commented, "Metro Recycling and Metro Auto Recyclers will always strive to operate in a manner which exceeds typical expectations. We try not necessarily to be examples but to operate at a level where we feel a responsible business should.
